The challenge

Wuunder and Probo have been partners for five years. Probo recently faced a challenge: growing complexity in order routing and label handling. Together, we built a solution with broader applications, benefiting many companies.

With the Custom Label Editor, you design unique labels for Custom Option shipments in Wuunder Checkout, tailored to all your use cases. We’re happy to explain how it works, and how Probo has improved their shipping process with this tool.

The customised label editor

This new Wuunder Checkout tool helps you clearly separate packages for different routes in your warehouse—especially useful with your own transport network, but flexible for many other scenarios.

It’s also a powerful branding tool: add your logo to shipping labels, include static QR codes for unique content or offers, and customise sender/recipient fonts and layouts. Operationally, use label fields for custom sorting instructions, making warehouse processing easier.

A successful rollout with Probo resulted in fewer mistakes, seamless sorting, and a better presentation. We spoke with Frits Dijkstra, Assistant Logistics Manager, to get feedback on how they have used the Custom Label Editor and how it can be further implemented in the future.

The solution

According to Frits, 'Wuunder Checkout's Custom Label Editor has made a significant difference to our logistics. We use this product to make a visible distinction on our labels for the different delivery options we have. This way, our sorters can easily separate pickup orders from delivery orders.'

This product has become vital for Probo, as they have multiple locations, but previously could not indicate on the package which location the package should be sent to.

‘When we just started with our own shipping network, this was still manageable, but now that we have multiple locations with more than 3,000 stops per week, a visual pre-selection is crucial. With the Custom Label Editor, we can do this!’

Cost savings, yes please!

"The biggest cost saving is in the number of sorting errors. Previously, we often faced the problem that an order accidentally ended up at the wrong pickup point. That is quite frustrating for a customer who has come to a pickup point for nothing. By eliminating all doubt about where a package needs to go, we have been able to save hundreds of euros per day on these errors. That is a huge gain for us."

Multi-collo was subsequently made available in the Custom Label Editor, making it easier to ensure that orders consisting of multiple packages are delivered together.

As Frits further explains: "Many of the shipments sent through our own network consist of multiple packages. We used to have to write this on every label by hand. That is obviously not very neat, but it is also very susceptible to human error. With the multi-collo function in Wuunder Checkout's Custom Label Editor, we can now immediately indicate on the label how many packages each shipment consists of.

This feature is also very important for our drivers. It is a second check (separate from our PDAs) to ensure they are delivering a complete order. No customer wants to receive a partial delivery. A frame without fasteners, or vice versa, is useless to the customer."
