News | €10 million investment in Wuunder

Investing in efficient and sustainable delivery

Logistics SaaS platform Wuunder has received an investment of ten million euros to further improve sustainability in the logistics sector. Half of the investment comes from existing shareholders. The other half comes from Perspectieffonds Gelderland, a fund of the province of Gelderland managed by Oost NL.

Wuunder was founded with the mission of making the logistics sector more sustainable. In 2023, this mission gained momentum with the acquisition of e-commerce specialist Paazl. With the current investment from existing shareholders and Oost NL, Wuunder can develop technology to make parcel delivery even more efficient and sustainable. This involves an innovative SaaS solution for checkout and the entire delivery process. This will make it possible to deliver goods more intelligently and spread delivery peaks more evenly. The aim is to reduce CO₂ emissions and save costs.

Jeroen Gehlen, founder of Wuunder: "Nine years ago, we founded Wuunder with the mission of making the logistics sector greener. We are getting closer and closer to achieving this, and it is great to see that Oost NL and our shareholders support this ambition. With the right technologies, sustainable delivery is becoming easier and easier. Together, we are taking steps towards a future in which smart and sustainable logistics are the norm."

Sindy Vreugdenhil, investment manager at Perspectieffonds Gelderland at Oost NL: “Gelderland is a province with a lot of logistics transport. The Gelderland Corridor ensures that much of the parcel traffic takes place within the province's borders. Behind each of these deliveries lies a complex world of data. Wuunder is able to use that data to make smarter choices. This offers an advantage for their customers and for the climate. We see a lot of potential in the company, their ambitions and the impact they can make in Gelderland.”

In addition to their offices in Amsterdam, Weert, Hasselt and Dortmund, Wuunder is setting up an office at the Electricity Campus Arnhems Buiten. Oost NL supported the company in finding this location.
