Skins Cosmetics | Save costs on integrations with Shopware extension

Working together for growth

Skins utilised the Wuunder Shopware extension for cost savings and integration.

Skins has been a Wuunder customer for many years and is well aware of the important role that delivery plays in the customer experience. Skins currently uses home delivery by DHL and various collection points to offer customers the flexibility they demand. This is something the cosmetics brand would like to expand in the future. In the short term, the company also wants to offer its own boutiques as collection points.

Rapid expansion

The challenge

However, as Skins wants to expand further and at the same time integrate a continuous stream of fulfilment and delivery updates, the company recently had to adapt its collaboration with Wuunder to a changing e-commerce market. Previously, Skins ran on the Shopware 5 e-commerce platform and used the Wuunder Checkout Widget within the company's e-commerce checkout environment. But this made it difficult for Skins to keep up with Wuunder's latest updates and improvements. That's when the idea arose to build a special Shopware 6 extension as a joint effort between Skins and Wuunder.

Closer collaboration, enhanced experiences

The solution

To strengthen the collaboration between the two companies, Wuunder and Skins decided to work together on the development of Wuunder's latest e-commerce software extension. This decision proved to be a good move, as it allowed Skins to save costs during development and ultimately improve efficiency and the overall customer experience.

By working with Wuunder on the extension, Skins was able to benefit from ongoing developments and improvements to the platform. The new extension should automatically ensure that all data required for the fulfilment process is stored in the right place within Shopware. This means that the company needs to devote fewer resources to maintaining the software integration and can instead focus on other aspects of the business.

The decision to strengthen the collaboration between Skins and Wuunder also opened up new delivery options for Skins, including sustainable ones. The Dutch cosmetics brand is keen to participate in new developments in sustainable transport, enabling the company to improve customer satisfaction and sell its products worldwide without significantly increasing emissions. In practice, this could mean exploring new delivery options, such as bicycle couriers and lockers.

Finally, thanks to the Wuunder widget, Skins can now easily stay up to date with the latest features and updates. This allows the company to offer its customers the best possible delivery options and guarantee a seamless checkout experience. Experience is the basis of Skins' success and, together with Wuunder, this will remain the case in the near future.
