XL Auctions integration: ship your lots automatically

An auction can run for weeks, but the moment it closes, everything needs to ship at once. Selling through XL Auctions? Thanks to the existing API integration, your sold lots are imported into Wuunder automatically as orders, even when there are hundreds at a time. And once you book, the tracking code shows up on XL Auctions too, where your buyer can find it.

Selling on XL Auctions: from hammer to shipment booking

Once a lot has been sold, the next step is getting the right shipment to the right buyer. XL Auctions sends the shipment data to Wuunder through the API, where the shipment is booked.

XL Auctions: The auction platform where sellers offer their lots.

Wuunder: The shipping platform connected to XL Auctions through the API.

MyWuunder: Your own environment where you see your shipments and labels.

Shipping XL Auctions lots: what the integration gives you

After the hammer falls, you want to ship fast and without mistakes. Here's what the integration handles:

Orders imported automatically

Every sold lot arrives in Wuunder as an order through the API, address and shipment data included.

Parcels and pallets

From a single drill to a batch of tiles: your Wuunder account handles parcels and pallets side by side.

Your own contracts

Ship with the carrier contracts you already have, all from one account.

Everything in MyWuunder

Shipments and labels sit in one overview, next to the rest of your shipments. The tracking code of every booked lot flows back to XL Auctions automatically, so buyers don't have to ask you where their purchase is.

Shipping XL Auctions lots: from small items to pallets

On XL Auctions you sell a bit of everything: tools and electronics, but also machinery, building materials and furniture. Every type of lot calls for a different kind of transport.

Type of lot Examples Shipping method
Small and light Tools, electronics, clothing Parcel
Large or heavy Tiles, machinery, garden sets Pallet
Furniture Sofas, wardrobes, beds Two-person delivery

XL Auctions sends a preferred service with every shipment, for example your carrier's cheapest option, so no extra import rules are needed. We go through which services suit your lots when you get started.

Less manual work, full overview in MyWuunder

You don't need to create every shipment by hand in MyWuunder: the data comes in through the integration.

A MyWuunder demonstration is still part of a good start. It helps you understand your Wuunder environment and where to turn with questions about your account or shipping workflow. Discuss your integration with our team.

Print a whole auction in one round

After an auction closes, dozens or even hundreds of lots are often ready at once. In MyWuunder you work through them in one round, without opening each label separately.

Print packing slip, pack the lot, scan the packing slip, stick on the label. Read more about labels and batch printing in our guide to shipping label software

Print everything at once

In the Prepare tab, choose to print all pending labels. With 1-click printing, labels go straight to your label printer (Zebra/ZPL or PDF) and packing slips to your regular printer, without opening a PDF first.

A packing slip for every lot

For each shipment, Wuunder creates a packing slip with the description of the order lines. Add the lot number to that description and your warehouse instantly sees which lot goes in which box. Include the shelf location too, and your team walks straight to the right spot.

Scan & Print

Print the packing slips first, pack the lot and scan the barcode on the packing slip: the right label prints automatically.

Pickups requested automatically

After an auction, you don't want to drop off hundreds of parcels yourself. If you have no regular pickup with your carrier, Wuunder automatically requests an ad-hoc pickup when you book, with carriers that support it. Already have a carrier coming by on a fixed day? Then Wuunder uses that pickup and doesn't request an extra one.

Prefer to drop off your parcels yourself? Book the shipment as a drop-off and nothing is requested. See which carriers offer ad-hoc pickups on our carriers page.

Tracking emails in your own style

Your buyer wants to know where their lot is. With Wuunder, you send tracking emails in your own branding and language, with a link to follow the shipment.

Proactive updates pay off: Wuunder Track cuts "where is my parcel?" questions by up to 70%. Read more about Wuunder Track.

Good to know when shipping auction lots

A few practical points sellers run into:

Draft or direct booking

You can book shipments straight away or edit them first. Direct booking runs automatically, based on the preferred service XL Auctions sends along or your own import rules. Choose to edit, and shipments land as drafts on the Book page in MyWuunder: bulk-book them there, or edit first and then bulk-book.

Accurate communication with the receiver

Block the carrier's emails, so recipients only hear from the carrier once the lot has actually been shipped. That way you can label lots you'll only send later and work ahead, without buyers asking where their shipment is.
