Mainfreight via Wuunder | European Transport, Parcels & Retail Delivery | Wuunder

Ship with Mainfreight

Mainfreight is a global logistics provider, founded in New Zealand (1978), with a strong European road transport network across 27 countries. What makes Mainfreight unique is the combination of groupage (pallets and part loads), a worldwide parcel service (packages up to 31.5 kg) and specialised retail transport to major platforms like Amazon, Zalando, Bol.com and Coolblue. Additionally, Mainfreight operates its own AEO-certified customs offices in the Netherlands and warehousing facilities.

With Wuunder, you book Mainfreight shipments with a single click or via the API. Labels, customs documents and tracking are arranged automatically. Combine Mainfreight with parcel carriers like DHL eCommerce or GLS for your lighter e-commerce shipments and let your shipping rules automatically select the optimal carrier per shipment. Connect your Shopify Plus, WooCommerce, Magento or your own webshop via API and start shipping immediately.

Our platform includes 120,000+ preconfigured shipping services, including transport rates, transit times and a full capability matrix per service offering.

When to choose Mainfreight

Mainfreight is the right choice when:

  • Pallets and heavy shipments to Europe: groupage with reliable transit times and own network
  • Retailer deliveries: shipments to Amazon FBA, Zalando, Bol.com or Coolblue that must meet strict DC requirements
  • Parcels > 20 kg: the parcel service up to 31.5 kg is stronger than parcel carriers that stop at 23-30 kg
  • Combined warehouse + transport: Mainfreight can store and distribute from the Netherlands

Q: What is the difference between Mainfreight and TransMission?

A: Both are groupage carriers, but Mainfreight has its own international network across 27 countries with 337 locations. TransMission primarily focuses on the Benelux and Germany. Mainfreight is stronger for pan-European distribution and retail deliveries.

Q: Does Mainfreight deliver to Amazon FBA?

Q: How heavy can shipments be?

A: Parcel service: up to 31.5 kg. Groupage: no weight limit (per pallet). Full Truck Load: up to 24,000 kg.

Q: Can Mainfreight transport dangerous goods?

A: Yes. Mainfreight transports ADR goods (hazardous materials) across Europe. This is an important distinction compared to parcel carriers that don't accept ADR.

Q: Which countries does Mainfreight deliver to?

A: Mainfreight has own locations in 27 countries and delivers via partners across all of Europe (including Eastern Europe, UK, Norway and Switzerland). The parcel service is available worldwide.

A: Mainfreight offers end-to-end tracking with online proof of delivery (POD). Via Wuunder Track, all status updates are consolidated into clear notifications for you and your customer.

Q: Can I show Mainfreight rates in my checkout?

A: Yes. Optionally you can view your own rates in Wuunder Checkout or in your WMS/ERP during booking or retrieve them via our API. This depends on the complexity of your contract.
