Ship with DPD across Europe
In many European countries, DPD is a separate company with its own contracts, its own services and sometimes even its own name. Together they form Europe's largest parcel delivery network, with more than 150,000 Pickup points and lockers in 28 countries.
Wuunder connects these DPD business units through a single connection. You book shipments from MyWuunder or via the API, and Wuunder Ship automatically weighs them against your other carriers, with no shipping rules needed.
One connection for DPD in every European country
Shipping from several countries, for example from a warehouse in Italy or a fulfilment partner in Austria? Normally that means working with a separate DPD business unit per country. With Wuunder, that doesn't have to mean a separate integration for every country: your own contracts with those business units all run through the same connection.
For every shipment, Wuunder Ship picks the best-fit service based on price, transit time, destination, dimensions and weight, always alongside your other carriers.

Use your own DPD contract per country
DPD runs on your own contract: an agreement you sign directly with the DPD business unit in the country you ship from, at your own rates. In Italy, for example, that is BRT. Already have one? Contact our team and we arrange the connection to your MyWuunder account. After that, you see your rates next to other carriers.
For some countries, Wuunder also has a dedicated DPD page, such as DPD Netherlands, DPD Belgium and DPD Germany.
DPD is part of Geopost, Europe's largest parcel delivery network. With Wuunder, you book the services of the local DPD business unit in the country you ship from. Which services you get depends on the country and your contract. Wuunder Ship loads them automatically, so you can compare them per shipment.
Standard
- Parcel delivery within and from the country of the DPD business unit
- DPD Classic to business and residential addresses

- Track & trace from pickup to delivery

Example: BRT, DPD in Italy
Italy shows well how this works per country. There, DPD is called BRT: Geopost's Italian express carrier, with more than 200 branches and a network that reaches every municipality in Italy. You book BRT Express on your own BRT contract, with Predict: the recipient changes the delivery date or location themselves, even once the parcel is on its way.
For collection, BRT has more than 12,400 BRT-fermopoint pickup points in newsagents, tobacconists and other neighbourhood shops, plus lockers. Parcels are held there for 10 days. Read more about the Italian parcel market on shipping to Italy.

Well-prepared: DPD dimensions and weights
Maximum dimensions and weights differ per DPD business unit and per contract: always check them with the DPD business unit in your own country. As an example, these are the limits for dropping off at a BRT-fermopoint in Italy:
| Limit | BRT-fermopoint (drop-off) |
|---|---|
| Max. weight | 20 kg |
| Longest side | under 100 cm |
| Max. volume | under 0.2 m³ |
| Max. parcels | 3 per shipment |
High-value or insured shipments can't be dropped off at a fermopoint. Use PuzzlPack to calculate the right box size upfront, and see our packaging guidelines for packing heavy contents safely.

A: BRT is often competitive for standard parcels, but it depends on your volume and contract. In Wuunder you compare BRT per shipment with UPS, FedEx, TNT and DHL Express. More on shipping to Italy.
